Police are looking for a man who allegedly stabbed a man in the head and face on Tuesday night in Whitman.

Around 8:15 p.m., police discovered a 27-year-old man with numerous stab wounds to his head and face after responding to a complaint of a stabbing at an apartment building on Myrtle Avenue.

According to the police, the victim asked for help at his neighbor’s home. The deceased was then rushed to South Shore Hospital by emergency personnel.

The victim’s status has not been updated by the investigators.

According to the police, the culprit fled the scene and was last seen on West Street.

He’s described as a 20-something guy with black shoulders and a black hood on a light green fleece jacket. In addition, he was sporting white and black shoes and a white backpack.
