Police in Manchester are looking into a pedestrian accident that left one person dead and another injured.

At around 9:34 p.m. on June 7th, 2023, Manchester Police were called to the intersection of Pine Street and Merrimack Street in reference to reports of a car accident.

Officers arrived and immediately noticed a collision between two cars and two pedestrians. One of the cars was a black Honda Civic driven by a Manchester, New Hampshire, resident, age 28, who escaped injury.

A 30-year-old man from Manchester, New Hampshire was behind the wheel of the second vehicle, a white GMC pickup truck, but he escaped without any injuries.

A 47-year-old male pedestrian who was pronounced dead at the site was one of the affected pedestrians, according to police.

This collision also involved a 34-year-old woman, who suffered just minor injuries as a result.

The identity of the deceased has not been made public until notification of the next of kin.

Driving under the influence led to Hillary Dentremont, the Honda Civic’s driver, being detained.

The cause of the collision is being looked into.
