The 6-year-old child of rapper Flo Rida was hurt after he crashed through a five-story window in Jersey City, New Jersey.

According to News 12, 6 year-old Zohar Dillard, sustained serious wounds from the incident.

After suffering “a shattered pelvis, left metatarsal fractures, grade 3 liver laceration, internal bleeding, and collapsed lungs after the fall,” Bossip reported that the 6-year-old is in the ICU.

Alexis Adams, Dillard’s mother, has subsequently filed a lawsuit against the apartment complex, alleging that the windows “posed a hazardous condition” that caused her son to fall and hit the ground below.

“As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to willful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures,” Adams said in a statement, according to Bossip.

“It is devastating to see my child go through such pain and trauma knowing that this could’ve been avoided.”

Adams alleges she asked her landlord to install window protectors numerous times but was disregarded each time.

Adams requests in the case that the court grant him “damages, together with interest, attorney’s fees, costs of suit, payment of all medical bills, and any other relief the court deems just.”
