Following a “physical confrontation” on Sunday, the Pennsylvania State Police have issued an arrest warrant for Bam Margera.
In a statement, police claim that on April 23, around 11 a.m., they were summoned to a Chester County residence due to a reported disturbance. The victim of the alleged altercation with the former “Jackass” actor at the residence allegedly received minor injuries.
“Margera fled into a wooded area prior to the arrival of [Pennsylvania State Police] and has not been located at this time,” the statement reads. On Monday, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On social media, Margera’s brother, musician Jess Margera, seemed to confirm the altercation. On Monday, Jess Margera tweeted from a verified account and shared a screenshot of an Instagram conversation in which he claimed Bam “threw some punches at me, which I blocked.”
The arrest warrant was issued only a few months after Margera, a former skateboarder and TV star, required ventilation in the hospital in December due to pneumonia.
Margera discussed the incident on his former “Jackass” co-star Steve-O’s podcast in January.
“Basically, I was pronounced dead on Dec. 8,” said Margera. “I did not know that I had gnarly COVID and my body was shutting down. I went into four seizures, each one lasting 10 to 20 minutes. On the fourth one I bit my tongue so hard it was nearly fallen off. It got so swollen and puffy it wouldn’t fit in my mouth. I was drinking the infected blood which gave me pneumonia as well.”
Margera and Steve-O both made their debuts in the entertainment industry on MTV’s prank-stunt series “Jackass,” but Margera was excluded from last year’s feature film “Jackass Forever” because he violated a contract provision requiring him to maintain sobriety throughout filming.
Margera sued Paramount and “Jackass” ringleader Johnny Knoxville in August 2022 over the termination, alleging the producers forced him to sign the film’s “wellness agreement” while he was still in rehab.
Even though Margera had an Adderall prescription for ten years, the lawsuit claimed that he was fired after testing positive for the stimulant. In the end, the case was resolved.
