A firefighter falls through the floor while fighting a fire in Arlington that tore through a mixed-use building.

The fire, which occurred at 43 Dudley Street around 11 p.m., proved challenging to extinguish due to the presence of an electrical business, a bike shop, and a machine shop within the building.

Video footage captured the intense flames and thick black smoke as crews tirelessly worked to douse the fire with water.

Fortunately, the fallen firefighter did not sustain any injuries and continued to assist in extinguishing the blaze. No other individuals were reported injured.

While the building suffered extensive damage, nearby homes were unaffected.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
