Authorities say a young woman’s body was discovered in a home’s backyard in Everett on Tuesday afternoon, and they are now looking into the incident.
The 18-year-old woman’s body was discovered by a Springvale Avenue resident at 2 p.m., according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
At the scene, the woman was pronounced deceased. Her identity hasn’t been made public.
The woman showed no evident indications of injury, according to a preliminary inquiry, but police treated her death as suspicious because of the circumstances surrounding the location of her body, the district attorney’s office observed.
As of yet, no one has been taken into custody.
Everett police are working with state police investigators working for the district attorney’s office on the inquiry.
