Authorities Make 3 arrests After Man is Discovered Fatally Stabbed in Rental Cottage

According to authorities, three people have been detained in relation to the stabbing death of a man in Logan, Ohio.

Sheriff Lanny North of Hocking County stated in a news release that deputies received a report about a man who may have been stabbed following a dispute at a vacation cottage on Sullivan Road. Authorities rushed to the rental cabin along with Hocking County Emergency Medical Services. The victim was given medical attention by the staff before being transported by air to the hospital.

Charles D. Starner, age 22, was the man, according to North.

Per WOIO, detectives were called to the scene to gather information and speak with witnesses. Detectives discovered that the suspect left right away following the stabbing.

Based on reports from North, the detectives were informed that the suspect was traveling to Fairfield County, the news source reported. The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by detectives to request their assistance.

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office’s deputies made contact with two potential suspects not long after the sheriff’s office contacted them. They were recognized by North as Sabra S. Flagg, 21, and Isaac T. Pence, 20. Both were taken for interviews to the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office.

A report from North says the hospital informed the sheriff’s office that Starner had passed away due to injuries. An autopsy is anticipated to be performed by the Franklin County Coroner.

According to North, Pence was charged with murder and Flagg with obstructing justice.

WOIO was able to confirm that Pence was arrested under a $1 million bond. Additionally arrested on a $1 million bond was Flagg.

According to North, a third person was detained in relation. Bryce England, age 22, was identified as the person. At an emergency scene, England was detained and charged with misbehavior. Bond allowed for England’s release.

The circumstances surrounding the stabbing are yet unknown.
