Birkenstocks belonging to the late Steve Jobs were sold at $218,750 at an auction on Saturday.

These sandals are by far the most expensive personal belongings of his that have been auctioned off. His Seiko watch went for $42,000, a black leather jacket of his was sold for $22,400, and when his Birkenstocks were originally sold, they went for just $2,000.

Organizers of the three day auction, private auction house Julien’s Auctions, claimed that they only expected the sandals to go for $60,000.

With most vintage items, the more wear, the better. That is definitely the case with Jobs’ precious shoe.

In the description of the Birkenstocks, it is said that they are “well-used” and still have “the imprint of Steve Jobs’ feet”.

With the all influence that Jobs has left behind for this world, who would’ve thought that one of his beloved sandals would be one of them?
