After receiving a warrant for his arrest, police spent at least an hour attempting to apprehend former NFL player Antonio Brown at his residence.

According to WFLA, the domestic violence incident warrant was filed for a victim who has many children with Brown. On November 28, per the allegation, Brown is accused of hurling a sneaker at the victim.

The charge Brown is facing is a misdemeanor, not a felony, said NBC sports.

On Thursday, according to WFTS, Tampa Police Department officers tried for more than an hour to coax Brown out of his home. The station’s cameraman observed cops using a loudspeaker to tell Brown that they had talked with his lawyer and had requested that he leave the residence.

After being accused of assaulting a moving truck driver in Florida, Brown previously entered a no contest plea and was sentenced to pay $1.2 million to the driver, according to ESPN.

Brown reportedly had obtained a fraudulent vaccination card and was one of two players suspended by the NFL in December 2021 for violating COVID-19 standards, according to WTSP.

Brown has played wide receiver for various teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers (2010-2019), the New England Patriots (2019-2020), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2020-2021).

According to WTSP, Brown’s contract with the Bucs was terminated in January 2021 as a result of an incident in which he removed his shoulder pads and jersey while on the field.
