Following the discovery of a lady who had been fatally stabbed in Chelsea on Monday morning, authorities are looking for a suspect.
According to the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office, when police arrived at the scene of a stabbing on Lafayette Street just after 10 a.m., they discovered a 59-year-old lady with several knife wounds.
The victim’s identity has not been made public.
No one has been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing, and it’s unclear exactly when it happened.
State troopers working for the Suffolk District Attorney’s office are supporting a Chelsea police probe.

A man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a woman who was discovered dead on Monday morning inside an apartment building in Chelsea after having been stabbed numerous times.
According to law enforcement officials, Angel Alvarez will be charged with murder in the death of Margarita Morehead, 59, and will be arraigned in Chelsea District Court on Tuesday.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the alleged attack occurred.
