Charges of attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a dangerous weapon on school property were brought against a 15-year-old Lawrence teenager. He will be charged in Essex County Juvenile Court.
According to Lawrence Police, when officers arrived at the Rise Academy on Broadway to investigate a complaint of a fight between students, they discovered one male student suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound.
Paramedics provided on-site care to the sufferer before transferring her to Lawrence General Hospital.
The police say the 15-year-old offender was taken into custody without a problem.
