The potential newborn remains were discovered outside an apartment building in Revere on Tuesday night, and authorities have launched an investigation into the discovery.
Just before 6:30 p.m., Massachusetts State Police said, officers responding to a report of a man who discovered potential remains close to the exterior of a multi-unit building at 86 Dolphin Avenue made the dreadful discovery.
As state police and Revere police detectives searched the area for evidence, a significant emergency response was captured on video from the location. Also called to the scene were troopers from the state police’s crime scene services division.
The initial finder claimed to have seen hands and fingers inside a bag while dropping off some trash.
Isaiah Inebom stated, “I saw the arm, and hand, and fingers, and then I called 911.”
Tuesday night was spent by investigators interviewing locals in the area in order to gather information.
The potential remains have been sent over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner so that more forensic testing can be done on them.
According to state police, the information and circumstances surrounding the potential remains are “active and fluid at this time.”
Additional information wasn’t immediately available.
