Police said that a rollover accident on Tuesday morning in West Bridgewater resulted in the death of a 42-year-old male.
In order to give the man’s relatives time to respond, his name was withheld on Tuesday. According to police, there were no other passengers in the car.
Around 7:21 a.m. on Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to a vehicle crash with entrapment on Elm Street near Scotland Street.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the incident appeared to have been caused by a medical issue, and West Bridgewater Police Lt. Tim Nixon told Boston 25 that speed or recklessness did not appear to be contributing factors.
Nixon stated that the car veered off the road, rolled over in a wooded area, and sank into some wetlands.
After being transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, the driver was eventually declared deceased, according to Nixon.
The reason for the collision is being looked into by the State Police and West Bridgewater Police.
